To preface, this list of blooms is going to be different depending on where you are having your wedding or event. For instance, you may not have access to the same flowers in Asia or Eurpope as you would in North America, even from one state to the next within the same country. Additionally, WEATHER plays a huge role in what flowers will keep and which ones will just not do well. In this quick tip article, I am talking about our beautiful high desert of LAS VEGAS! Moderate and gorgeous sunny weather 9 months out of the year, with a quick 3 month hell-like heat spell and about 2 weeks in the winter where itโ€™s chilly. Overall, a GREAT place to have a wedding.

SO here is is! Our 4 Favorite Blooms for a Wedding in Any Season

Roses- available all year round in almost any color you can imagine, long-lasting, so many varieties including garden, spray, tea, and the list goes on. Youโ€™ll notice that we love to let our roses open up and bloom when we design with them because they just look so darn pretty that way. The same rose tight and closed versus open and loose can look entirely different.

Dahlias- For the cooler days of Winter or Autumn, these gorgeous texture-filled blooms will be a shining star in your wedding florals, be it in your bouquet or your arch! Just make sure they are well hydrated and have a water source for as long as possible. For the warmer days of Summer, go with the Ball Dahlia!

Blooming Branches or Seasonal Fruits/Vegetables- Flowers, buds, berries, Oh my! These delicate branches look gorgeous sticking out a bit from an arrangement or bouquet for a unique texture and dimension. And if you really want to add a pop of something special to your event, I suggest adding a seasonal local fruit or vegetable to your arrangements or table scape! Your guests are sure to love it!

Peonies- The fluffy looking cousin of the Garden Rose is a lovely coveted bloom that during spring seasons can get as big as your hand when open! These come in white, blush, pink, burgundy, orange, red, AND in variations of color. Although on the pricier side, they do take up real estate in an arrangement and make a great statement. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Hope this helps you on your journey to planning your wedding. As always, donโ€™t hesitate to reach out to us for your floral needs!
